I don’t care how long I’ve lived in New York, I will always look both ways before crossing the street. As far as I’m concerned, YOU GOTTA. And although this shit seems obvious to me, I get corrected and made fun of ALL THE TIME for this, like only looking one way is some right of passage. Continue reading
Let me tell you something honestly. I love Dunkin’ Donuts. DD is there for me when I’m stuck in some random neighborhood and need to rely on a tasty treat for less than $5, and less than 500 calories. (I’m looking at you, egg white flat-bread). Remember back in August when it was 80-something degrees all the damn time, and everyone was sticky on the subway, leaving ass prints on the bench and whatnot? Yeah–remember that? Remember how we wistfully longed for the days of t-shirt weather and a life so luxurious that we could function outside of the vicinity of an AC? Remember how we set our cooling units, rumbling in windows to as low as 60 degrees? Continue reading
Last week I went to the NY Marathon to see my dear friend Kristin complete this amazing feat. Kristin is a power-house runner who has always inspired me to go farther. Due to the madness of the marathon, I didn’t actually get to see her, but I hope she could feel my pride in her as she crossed the finish line! Continue reading
New York has the holidays that it loves, and those are generally party holidays. But Halloween holds a special place in most people’s hearts because unlike all the others, it has costumes. This invites the weird, the wonderful, and for some, a reason to spend a lot of money on a sexy outfit that kinda has no business being sexy.
